The timber construction industry visits the Swabian Alps - WEINMANN Treff 2024

Once again, the WEINMANN Treff open house impressed those who visited the production halls at the St. Johann site. The open house provided a wide range of opportunities to find out about the latest trends in timber construction and exchange expertise. Around 400 guests from more than 20 countries attended the in-house open house in the Swabian Alps. WEINMANN presented itself as a holistic partner, offering customers not only innovative machine technologies, but also a comprehensive range of services that go far beyond machine-controlled production.

Despite the challenges that the timber construction market is facing, the high level of interest in the in-house open house showed that timber construction continues to offer great potential for companies in the sector. Participants at WEINMANN Treff were able to immerse themselves in the exciting world of timber house construction, in line with the motto "The A to Z for your timber framing needs." The expert presentations at the two-day event were very popular, which led to a lively exchange between carpenters, timber construction companies and partner companies. From beam processing, assembly tables and multifunction bridges to robotics solutions, visitors were given a varied insight into the WEINMANN product portfolio.

A holistic partner for timber construction

WEINMANN creates far more than just the basis for efficient and innovative production — the company supports carpenters and timber construction companies throughout the entire process, from consultations and developing the appropriate production concept to ensuring that employees are suitably qualified and the company is well oriented for the future. The respective experts from the WEINMANN Academy and SCHULER Consulting provided an insight into the company's training and consulting services. 

The accompanying exhibition, featuring 25 exhibitors, also offered a comprehensive insight into current products and services in the fields of software, fastening devices, tools and assembly, packaging solutions, timber construction products, suction systems, insulation solutions and transport systems. Brand new for this year were partners from the doors, windows and roller shutter system sectors..

Inspiration as far as the eye can see

In addition to the two open house days, visitors were able to participate in three inspiration tours before and during the event, which gave them the chance to visit reference customers and see WEINMANN solutions in action. This gave visitors the opportunity to gain an insight into industrial solutions and solutions for woodworking shops in a real production environment. The open house week ended with a user meeting on 11/15/2024. At four exciting stations in the WEINMANN Experience Center, the approximately 40 participants were able to discuss state-of-the-art technology with WEINMANN experts and colleagues in the industry. 

Josef Zerle, Managing Director of WEINMANN, looks back on the week with satisfaction and is already looking forward to the coming year: "WEINMANN Treff 2024 was a huge success! The international nature of the event reflected the ambition of the timber construction industry, while the exhibitors also gave excellent positive feedback and confirmed the optimism felt about the industry. The excellent presentation topics provided the visitors with valuable information, indicating that timber construction is still on the up.
