  1. These terms and conditions of participation exclusively govern the participation in the "LIGNA Competition" competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition") of HOMAG GmbH, Homagstraße 3-5, D-72296 Schopfloch (hereinafter referred to as the "Organiser") by the participants as well as the collection and use of the data collected or communicated by the participants.
  2. By participating in the competition, participants accept these terms and conditions.

2. Participation

  1. Employees who are in an ongoing employment relationship with an employer working in the woodworking or woodworking industry and who are authorized by the employer (e.g. by consent) to participate in competitions on their behalf are eligible to participate. HOMAG GmbH reserves the right to have proof of the employer's consent submitted in writing upon request until the prize is handed over to the winner. In addition, self-employed entrepreneurs in the woodworking industry are eligible to participate.
  2. All participants must have legal capacity and be 18 years old, residing in the European Union. Excluded are employees of the organizer, employees of companies that are affiliated with the organizer under company law (§§15 et seq. AktG) as well as employees of cooperation partners who are or were involved in the creation or handling of the competition.
  3. Participation in the competition takes place via the HOMAG company website
  4. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

3. Procedure of the competition

The competition runs during the LIGNA trade fair event in Hanover and starts on May 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on May 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. The logged time of registration applies. Within this period, participants will be given the opportunity to participate in the competition online. The competition consists of:

  1. Registration on the company website of HOMAG (www.homag.com/5for50). Participants must fill out an entry form and provide their name, company name, contact information (email, phone) and company address.
  2. Participation in the prize draw is only possible once per participant during the duration of the competition. Each participant will be considered in the raffle without fulfilling any further tasks.

4. Winnings and Determination of Profits

The prize will be determined on 5 June 2025 after the end of the competition according to the following procedure:

  1. All participants who have registered will be entered into a draw to win a discount voucher worth 50% off the EU-wide list price (excluding ancillary costs, in particular delivery and transport costs) of the "SAWTEQ S-200", "CENTATEQ P-110", "EDGETEQ P-200", "EDGETEQ S-200" and the "DRILLTEQ V-200"
  2. Among all participants who took the above aspects into account, the winner will be chosen by lot, guaranteeing the principle of randomness. The winners will be drawn by two HOMAG employees without notarial supervision. The organizer reserves the right to publish information about the winners in the form of a news article on the HOMAG website, via a press release and on the company's social media pages (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
  3. In the event of a win, the winner of the prize is the woodworking or woodworking company in which the participant works or which he runs as an independent entrepreneur. The participant cannot claim the prize personally. A distribution to a private individual is excluded.
  4. The discount voucher must be redeemed by 31.12.2025.
  5. The discount voucher must be redeemed at a HOMAG sales & service company in the country in which the winner is based (https://www.homag.com/kontaktfinder , "Sales & Service: HOMAG"). If there is no HOMAG company in the winner's country or if there are several companies, the organizer reserves the right to specify a HOMAG sales & service company for the redemption of the discount voucher to the winner at its own discretion as part of the notification of the prize.

5. Rights of Use, Indemnification and Responsibility

  1. The participants agree that photos in connection with the competition, the draw, the processing of the event will be used, disseminated and otherwise made publicly available to third parties by the organizer in online and offline media (e.g. in print). For these purposes, the organizer is also allowed to edit the photos and, if necessary, to grant third parties rights of use to them. This granting of rights is free of charge and without any restrictions in terms of space, content or time.

6. Processing

  1. It is not possible to pay out the prize in cash, in kind, exchange or transfer it to other persons. A participant can waive the prize. If a prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize claim expires. In this case, it is at the discretion of HOMAG GmbH whether to determine another winner to whom the above rules apply mutatis mutandis. The handing over of the prizes will be coordinated individually with the corresponding participants.
  2. The winners will be announced on June 10 and will be notified of the prizes by phone call or email and asked for confirmation.
  3. If the participant does not respond within a reasonable period of time (10 days) after being asked to do so twice, the prize can be transferred to another participant. Section 6.1 shall apply mutatis mutandis. If the contact options provided are incorrect (e.g. invalid e-mail addresses), the organiser is not obliged to find out correct addresses. The disadvantages resulting from the provision of incorrect contact details are at the expense of the corresponding participant.
  4. The prize can represent taxable income for the winner. Each winner is obliged to check this in accordance with the rules applicable to him or her and, if taxable, to pay proper tax.

7. Availability

  1. The organizer points out that the uninterrupted availability and trouble-free functioning of the competition cannot be guaranteed. The competition may be terminated due to external circumstances and constraints without any claims by the participants against the organiser.
  2. This can result in technical problems or rule changes

8. Liability

  1. The organizer is also not liable for:
    • Errors in the transmission of data
    • Theft or destruction as well as unauthorized access to and alteration of participant data
    • technical malfunctions of any kind
    • Damage to the computer or other terminal equipment (e.g. smartphone) of a participant or any other person caused by participation in the competition.
  2. The organizer is liable without limitation if the cause of the damage is based on intent or gross negligence.
  3. Subject to the provision in Sections 7.1 and 7.2, the Organiser shall be liable for the slightly negligent breach of essential obligations, the breach of which jeopardises the achievement of the purpose of the contract, or for the breach of obligations the fulfilment of which is essential for the proper conduct of the Competition in the first place and on the compliance with which the Contracting Parties regularly rely. In this case, however, the organizer is only liable for the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. The organizer is not liable for the slightly negligent violation of duties other than those mentioned in the preceding sentences.
  4. The above limitations of liability do not apply in the event of injury to life, limb and health, for a defect after the assumption of a warranty and in the event of fraudulently concealed defects. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
  5. Insofar as the liability of the organiser is excluded or limited, this also applies to the personal liability of organs, employees, representatives and vicarious agents of the organiser.

9. Exclusion from participation

  1. In the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to exclude the entrant from the Competition.
  2. Furthermore, the organizer reserves the right to exclude participants who use unauthorized aids or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation (in particular collective or multiple participations). This is the case, for example, if automatic scripts, hacking tools, Trojans or viruses are used, or if a participant gains an advantage through other illicit means. Furthermore, untrue personal information and the use of "fake profiles" can lead to exclusion. If necessary, in these cases, prizes can also be withdrawn and/or reclaimed retrospectively.

10. Early termination or termination of the competition

  1. The Organiser is entitled to prematurely terminate, suspend or change the Competition if unforeseen circumstances beyond the Organiser's control occur that make the original implementation more difficult or unreasonable for the Organiser. These include, in particular, but not exclusively, the unauthorized intervention of third parties, technical problems with hardware or software that are beyond the control of the organizer as well as violations of rights that are directly related to the implementation of the competition, in this case in particular the manipulative intervention in the course of the competition.
