Measuring System Cutting Quality (MSQ)

Measuring system cutting quality (MSQ) for the SAWTEQ B-300/400 flexTec

>

The SAWTEQ B-300/400 flexTec and SAWTEQ B-320 flexTec robot saws continue to be popular worldwide thanks to their highly flexible cutting plan design, gentle material handling and fully integrated automation.

In order to be able to make optimum use of the robot mode, HOMAG has developed the measuring system cutting quality, or MSQ for short. The new development enables automatic monitoring of the cutting quality thanks to regular checking of the edge breaks within predefined warning and limit values. For example, the user can customize the measurement frequency, such as measuring every last part in a cutting pattern.

Practical advantages:

  • Objective and regular evaluation: frequent quality management and unique result interpretation with reduced operator interventions
  • Demand-based saw blade change: use of maximum saw blade service life and increased availability
  • Avoid reject parts: less post-production effort since specified, material-specific limit values are observed
  • Increased process reliability and potential for further process and cost optimizations
